Father's Day Gift
My sisters and I love to get together and do crafts or create some project. This was an old window that I painted black to match our decor. (My sisters left their windows antiqued looking. White with wood stain on edges.) The middle frame is a board I got at the dollar store. I painted it and covered the center piece with fabric and ribbon that I hot glued on. It was simple and inexpensive to make.
As it is finally starting to warm up, it becomes garage sale season again. The saying "One man's garbage is another man's treasure" is especially true when finding children's toys. My mother-in-law bought Bryson some Mega Blocks for his birthday last year and he loves them. We have even been considering buying him another set so he can create more with them. We went online and found they are about $20 for a set. Two weeks ago, I found a set of blocks with eyes to make animals and some slide pieces. It looked like pieces were missing, but I offered $2 for all of it and they accepted. When we got them home and all washed up, the boys played with them for hours. What a DEAL!
